On November 20, 2025, Janusz Kahl, CEO of NordicHouse and Consul of Denmark, Finland, and Iceland, participated in a B2B discussion panel organized as part of the 11th International Scientific Conference “Science and Business – Common Challenges in Shaping Competencies for the Future” held at the Faculty of Management of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

The panel focused on connecting science and business, with particular emphasis on the competencies of tomorrow, directions of labor market development, and the challenges facing education and entrepreneurship in the context of technological and social transformation. This year, special attention was paid to competencies of the future – both technological and social. The participants explored how to prepare employees and organizations for the challenges of tomorrow and how to educate younger generations to meet the demands of the changing labor market.
During the panel, Janusz Kahl presented “Is Scandinavian Markets Worth Investing in? Opportunities and Barriers?”

The Scientific Conference “SCIENCE and BUSINESS – Common Challenges” is a recurring event organized by the AGH Faculty of Management. It provides a platform for dialogue between academia, business representatives, and external stakeholders—such as local governments, public institutions, and non-governmental organizations. Its goal is to build lasting relationships and jointly search for solutions to current socio-economic problems. The conference has gained recognition as a forum for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, where theory meets practice, and a scientific approach supports the development of innovative management strategies. Current editions of the event focus on challenges related to digitalization, sustainable development, energy transition, and organizational social responsibility. Participants—both scientists and practitioners—are challenged not only to analyze the dynamically changing environment but also to co-create solutions that will have a real impact on the development of the economy and society.
Synergy of Science and Business
The conference combines scientific and business components, creating a coherent space for the exchange of knowledge and experiences. On the one hand, it is a forum for presenting the latest research and interdisciplinary ideas that inspire innovative business models. On the other, it is a practical laboratory where scientists, students, entrepreneurs, and local government officials meet. This allows for the confrontation of theory with real market needs and the initiation of joint projects combining science and business.
The conference is a continuation and expansion of the Science and Business (B2B) Panel, organized since 2015, whose ongoing goal is to integrate representatives of the science and business communities.
