On May 15, 2026, the Krakow Climate Education Center hosted the annual meeting of the partners of the “Climate Pact” – a city initiative bringing together Krakow businesses and universities, whose goal is to support Krakow’s efforts to achieve climate neutrality.
NordicHouse and South Poland Cleantech Cluster are members of the “Climate Pact.”
The meeting, attended by several dozen participants, provided an opportunity to summarize the annual reports in which the partners (currently 24 entities) describe the climate- and environmental-friendly activities implemented in the previous year, including investment, education, and promotional initiatives aimed at the local community.
During the meeting, the partners also gathered information on important aspects of Krakow’s operation and development related to the energy transition.

Andrzej Łazęcki, Chief Consultant for the City’s Energy System Transformation, presented on current trends in this sector, including the decarbonization of heat sources, the electrification of district heating, and energy cooperatives.
The next item on the agenda was a presentation of the Krakow-based One Stop Shop (OSS) advisory and consulting point, krk HubRenowacji, where property owners can obtain a comprehensive analysis of the building’s condition and choose appropriate renovation solutions. This presentation was presented by Janusz Kahl, Managing Director of NordicHouse and South Poland Cleantech Cluster.

Participating partners also learned more about the Krakow Climate Education Center. Coordinator Anna Machacz discussed the educational initiatives currently being implemented by KCEK and presented opportunities for cooperation with partners of the “Climate Pact.”
The final thematic block featured a presentation by Katarzyna Zajączkowska, author of the book and podcast “Responsible Fashion,” a lecturer on sustainable fashion, and an ESG and CSR expert, entitled “Wellbeing Begins at the Office – A Work Environment Without Compromise.” In this session, participants took a closer look at interior design trends in office space, learned recommendations for materials used in interiors, and received practical tips on how to create employee-friendly spaces that respect the environment and are sustainable.
Krakow City Hall was represented at this meeting by Małgorzata Mrugała, Director of the Department of Environment, Climate, and Air.
