On August 27, 2025, NordicHouse entered into a partnership with Knowledge Hub Zealand, Denmark. During a meeting in Copenhagen attended by NordicHouse CEO Janusz Kahl, Knowledge Hub Zealand Director Christian Beenfeldt, and BloxHub CEO Torben Klitgaard, the collaboration was discussed, which will involve joint applications for EU funding, particularly for innovative projects related to clean technologies, and the exchange of knowledge and experience between NordicHouse, Knowledge Hub Zealand in Kalundborg, and BloxHub in Copenhagen.

Knowledge Hub Zealand is an association and partnership established to support knowledge, education, growth, and development in the Zealand region – with a particular focus on the development of biotechnology in northwestern Zealand.
The initiative aims to create a world-class center for education, research, and innovation in bioproduction and biosolutions by 2030, as part of the Kalundborg Campus initiative.
Context and Goal
Kalundborg Campus has been allocated SEK 320 million for its development. It will provide a framework for close collaboration between several educational institutions while providing students with practical experience through close interaction with the business community.
Through this initiative, industry and education partners are joining forces to make Kalundborg Biotech City a world-leading center for education, research, and innovation in biomanufacturing and biosolutions. A central element of the initiative is the construction of a new campus building with an area of 11,000–12,000 m² (preliminary estimates), which will house a pilot plant, laboratories, and makerspaces-facilities that support groundbreaking education, research, and development.
This new, expanded physical environment will contribute to the creation of a unique learning environment where students from a wide range of professional, business, and academic fields will be able to collaborate across disciplines while gaining practical experience through close interaction with industry professionals.
The overall criteria for the campus’s success is to increase the number of students at the Kalundborg campus from approximately 500 currently to 1,500 by 2030.
Fehmarn Belt Innovation (FBI)
Another initiative is Fehmarn Belt Innovation, an innovation, collaboration, and networking project aimed at strengthening innovation and development in the eastern Fehmarn region.

Context and Goals
With the planned opening of the Fehmarn Tunnel in 2029, which will physically connect Denmark and Germany, the Fehmarn Belt Innovation project aims to support and strengthen innovation and development in the eastern Fehmarn region.
