In NordicHouse soon will open Poland’s first One-Stop Shop – OSS krk HubRenowacji, a stationary, comprehensive investor support point (PKWI) for the thermal modernization and renovation of buildings.
The main goal of this stationary, comprehensive investor support point for the thermal modernization of buildings (as part of the OSS krk HubRenowacji initiative) is to simplify and accelerate the thermal modernization process for building owners, both individual and community, housing cooperatives, municipalities, counties, and businesses. The goal is to provide investors with a single location where they can obtain all the necessary information, support, and assistance at every stage of their thermal modernization project. Ultimately, this will increase the number of effectively completed thermal modernization projects, contributing to improved building energy efficiency, reduced emissions, and lower operating costs.

Tasks of the Comprehensive Investor Support Point
To achieve its goals, the point carries out a number of tasks that can be divided into several key areas:
1. Information and Consulting
Comprehensive Information: The point provides comprehensive information on available thermal modernization technologies (e.g., insulation, window and door replacement, heating system modernization, installation of renewable energy sources), their advantages, disadvantages, and potential savings.
Technical Consulting: Specialists at the point offer preliminary technical advice, helping investors select the optimal solutions for their specific building and needs.
Regulation Information: The point provides information on applicable building law, energy standards, and all other regulations related to thermal modernization.
Environmental Awareness: Increases investor awareness of the environmental benefits of thermal modernization.
2. Financing and Grants
Financing Sources: Presents all available funding sources, both national (e.g., “Clean Air,” “My Electricity,” “My Heat” programs), regional, and local. (municipal, provincial, Regional Operational Programs) and commercial (bank loans) programs.
Assistance in obtaining grants: Support in completing grant applications, collecting required documents, and navigating the application process in collaboration with operators.
Feasibility Analysis: Assistance in assessing the profitability of investments, taking into account available grants and potential energy cost savings.
3. Procedural and Administrative Support
Documentation Support: Assistance in preparing the necessary design and energy documentation (energy audits), building permits, or work notifications.
Contact with Offices: Facilitating contact with relevant offices and institutions, assisting in obtaining all required decisions and approvals.
Coordination: Coordinating contacts with various entities involved in the thermal modernization process (auditors, designers, contractors, financing institutions).
4. Collaboration and Networking
Contractor Database: Maintaining a verified database of recommended contractors with experience and appropriate qualifications in thermal modernization.
Connecting Investors with Experts: Enabling Investors to Easily Access to energy auditors, designers, building inspectors, and other specialists
Organization of training, workshops, and conferences: Regular informational meetings, workshops, training, and conferences for investors, increasing their knowledge and awareness of thermal modernization
Summary
The One-Stop Support Point is designed to act as a single, central point of contact, eliminating informational and procedural barriers that often discourage investors from making thermal modernization decisions. Its goal is to make the thermal modernization process simple, transparent, and accessible to anyone who wants to improve the energy efficiency of their building.
