About NordicHouse – Presentation


NordicHouse in Cracow is a Business and Culture Centre established for the purpose of encouraging the interregional cooperation between Nordic countries and southern Poland through promoting business contacts, tourism and culture. We advise Nordic companies in all matters in connection with export to Poland.

NordicHouse covers an area corresponding to the consular area of the Royal Danish Consulate, Consulates of Sweden and Finland, which also have their seats in the house. The area consists of the following regions: Małopolska (Kraków), Śląsk (Katowice), Podkarpacie (Rzeszów) and Świętokrzyskie (Kielce). The region is the most important industrial area in Poland and has a big growth potential especially within modern technology with its 12 mill. inhabitants and many institutions of higher education. In the southern part of Poland you also find the biggest culture and tourist attractions.



The purpose of NordicHouse is to encourage the interregional cooperation through promoting:

In NordicHouse you will find the Center for Alternative Energy Sources whose purpose is to promote alternative sources of energy such as wind, sun and biomass. A modern low energy demonstration heating system with sun panels and floor heating system controlled by radio waves has been installed in NordicHouse. The project has been financed by The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) and Danfoss (DK).


NordicHouse participates in different projects co-financed by EU, the Danish Environmental Protection Agency (DEPA) and the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) and Malopolska Region.
