Recruitment – TasksNurses

Recruitment of nurses to the Capital Region of Copenhagen

From the beginning of 2008 NordicHouse had a recruitment project concerning the recruitment of 26 nurses from Poland to the Capital Region of Copenhagen in Denmark.
The Polish nurses are today working in different hospitals such as: Gentofte Hospital, Glostrup Hospital, Herlev Hospital, Hvidovre Hospital, Amager Hospital, Hillerød Hospital and Helsingør Hospital.

During the first three month the nurses went through an intensive Danish course in NordicHouse in Krakow. The Danish course was five days a week with five hours of teaching per day. Two Danish teachers from Ishøj Sprogskole in Denmark were responsible for the Danish course.
After having received the Danish authorization as a nurse from the Danish Board of Health in Denmark and having passed the final Danish test the nurses traveled to Denmark on the 3rd of May. NordicHouse was responsible for finding accommodation, for registering in the relevant institutions and for the integration process of the nurses during the first six month of their stay in Denmark.
Our employee in Denmark has in the later part of the mentoring process been responsible for finding accommodation for the nurses that have brought their family to Denmark from Poland, their registration in Denmark and for solving practical issues for the nurses and their families.
