On 11-13 November, 2009, Janus Kahl, CEO in NordicHouse, visited Uppsala, the main city in Uppsala Region. Uppsala Region signed in September 2009 an agreement on interregional cooperation with the Region of Malopolska in Southern Poland.
During the visit Janus Kahl met the chairman for Uppsala Region, Arne Sandemo, Svante Rowa, responsible for regions industrial development, Hans Eriksson from ALMI Foretagspartner, Kent Goldmann from Export Council in Stockholm and Tommy Nilsson from Uppsala Innovation Centre, UIC.
On the second day of the visit Janus Kahl visited Östhammer Municipality, where he met the chairman of the city council Anna-Lena Söderblom, the city mayor Sten Huhta, and Ulf Andersson, responsible for municipality's industrial development
On the last day of the visit Janus Kahl visited Enköping Municipality, where he met the Mayor of the city, Anna Wiklund, director Staffan Viberg, Arne Wåhlstedt risponsible for industry and companies interested in the Polish market.
During the visit in Uppsala Region many contacts were established with the regional institutions and with innovative Sweedish companies, that have showned interest in entering the Polish market.
