Swedish trainee in NH
The 20 year old Swedish trainee, Tareq Shtaye, started his internship in NordicHouse in September 2009. Tareq is studying Peace and Conflict Studies in Malmo University in Sweden. He will assist NordicHouse with work with Swedish health care institutions, Swedish business companies including recruitment and will take part in the interregional cooperation with the Region of Uppsala till the end of the year.
ESS Scandinavia meeting in Krakow
On 14-15 September, 2009, NordicHouse co-organized the 5th Round Table meeting for ESS - European Spallation Source. In the meeting organized in Collegium Novum at the Jagiellonian University representatives from 12 EU-governments participated. The chairman of the commetee is the former Swedish Minister for Forreign Affairs, Allan Larsson. The main organizer was the Lund University (S).
Visit from Uppsala Region
On Sepember 4, 2009, a delegation from Uppsala Region visited NordicHouse. The main reason was signing the agreement on interregional cooperation between the Uppsala Region and Malopolska Region. Janus Kahl and the chairman of the region, Arne Sandemo discussed the comming projects, which will be coordinated by NordicHouse.
Goodwill Ambassadors seminar in Copenhagen
On August 24-25, 2009, Janusz Kahl, CEO in NordicHouse, member of the Goodwill Ambassador corps for Copenhagen and the Danish-Swedish Region of Øresund participated in an annual seminar. The main topic this year was the UN Climate Summit - COP15 in December 2009 in Copenhagen.
New products in Poland
NordicHouse introduces a range of new products on the Polish market. Danish company Danbrush International has developed and designed a variety of brushes based on an international patent.
COP15 in Copenhagen - hope for a succes
On May 15, 2009 Janus Kahl, CEO in NordicHouse held a lecture "COP15 in Copenhagen - hope for a succes". The lecture was organized as part of the "Science festival" organized by the Universities in Krakow.
Building products to Danmark
A representative from MTHøjgaard, Danmarks biggest construction company visited on 20 - 22.04.09 NordicHouse. The purpose with this visit was to find out about the possibility to buy different products for construction in the Southern Poland.
Courses and team building events with golf
NordicHouse has made an agreement with Valley Golf & Country Club in Paczoltowice close to Krakow, regarding organising courses and team building events for Scandinavian companies and promotion of the golf field in Scandinavia.
"Scandinavian markets - a chance in the time of economic crisis?"
On March 27, 2009 NordicHouse organised in cooperation with law firm Magnusson and Scandinavian Business Forum a seminar "Scandinavian markets - a chance in the time of economic crisis?" for Polish companies interested in Scandinavian markets.
Leonardo da Vinci conference in NordicHouse
On November 11, 2008 the Swedish company EDU-vent organized together with NordicHouse a conference on a new education for engineers in ventilation. In the project, which is financed by the EUs Leonardo da Vinci programme participated education institutions from Sweden, Poland, Hungary and Lituania.
